Client Services Director

Digital Agency




65,000 - 75,000 per annum

Our client, a Digital Agency based in London, are looking for a Client Services Director to join their team to help manage and grow the office and the business. They are looking for someone with at least 10 years' experience working in client management in agencies, with at least several years spent focusing on digital and experience design projects.

From Day 1 you will be responsible for managing and growing the Client Services team, and will take full responsibility for the sales pipeline. You will work very closely with the other senior members of the team to identify opportunities for growth with current and new clients. As the role progresses, you will take full responsibility for the agency's P&L, making sure that the business is running smoothly and that profits are increasing.

The role:

  • You will be managing and growing the Client Services team - ensuring best practice across all client engagements, provide help and mentoring - always leading by example

  • Understanding existing clients' businesses and their needs - you will continuously ask questions to find out their problems

  • Making sure that the team fully understands any business objectives - you will provide guidance and information to make sure that employees understand the business and the services offered

  • Working with the Senior Team to identify business and revenue growth opportunities with current and new clients

  • Creating strategies to actually win these new clients and grow current client relationships

  • Managing the P&L - you will develop and implement strategies to drive revenue and profit growth

  • You will identify key metrics to track/predict business performance, and to recognise any risks/issues

  • Working with the Senior Team to agree financial targets, and keep the team in the UK up to date

What you need:

  • You have at least 10 years' experience working in Client Services and Business Development, with 3 of these spent in a senior role - and you're eager to take on a more senior role

  • You have spent most of your career working in agencies (creative/digital/design)

  • You have a strong background in digital (design and build, not just campaigns) - you understand websites, apps, UX, technology, and can sell your expertise

  • You have experience working with clients across Asia, and are currently based in Singapore

  • You have had an instrumental role in growing an agency in a Senior Client Services or Business Development role (maybe you joined when it was a start-up and you grew it to 50 people) - you need to have this start-up experience/mentality

  • You have experience of growing client accounts - you've helped to win several new client pitches, and then grown these accounts to the point where they're bringing in millions of Dollars of revenue a year

  • You approach business development through building relationships - you aren't a card-core sales person

  • You are entrepreneurial, driven by business performance and motivated by growth - you love looking for and pursuing new business opportunities
